Châtel (Haute-Savoie) Transmitter
               on 87.7 FM
    Temporarily out of service

RADIO 74 has not been heard at Châtel for many months.
But we see light at the end of a long tunnel.

A new transmission site has been located and a contract signed.
It's an old unused barn adjacent to a ski run.  The view is magnificent
and we believe this new site will work well.

The next step is to install electricity in this over 100 year old structure.
It involves digging a ditch for an underground cable from the nearest
EDF high voltage power transformer, fortunately not very far away.

The mast and FM antenna will then be installed, connected to the
transmitter in the basement of the barn, and the satellite dish antenna
oriented towards the Hot Bird satellite for receiving the audio signal
from our studio here at Archamps, France.

6,000 Euros (about 9,000 CHf) are needed for this work.

Hopefully we can return to the air at Châtel by the end of May 2010.

Meanwhile thanks for your prayers, patience and gifts towards
resolving these remaining technical issues.
